| 1994 Beneteau Oceanis 35 Baiji.
In 2000 I delivered Baiji from Havre de Grace,
MD, to Haverstraw Bay in the Hudson River, on behalf of
her current owners. I was blessed with an all-female crew
and the passage was very straightforward and pleasant.
In 2004 the owners moved to Havelock, NC, and very graciously
asked me to sail with them for the passage south down the
Hudson and then down the New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland
and Virginia coastlines to Norfolk, where we came “inside” for
an ICW passage to Club Foot Creek on the south shore of
the Neuse River, a few miles west of Oriental. We had excellent
reaching winds for the run down the coast and Baiji sailed
fast and comfortably. Baiji was exceptionally
clean and in excellent condition in 2004 and she has been
conscientiously and thoroughly well-maintained since then.
Her current owners will deliver Baiji to any reasonably
close east coast location. Her current asking price

| 2009 Nordic Tug 42-109, demo model. I
have taught on and delivered many Nordic Tugs over the
years and have found them to be quiet, comfortable and
very consistent in terms of operation and construction.
I had the pleasure of delivering 42-109 from Annapolis,
MD to Stuart, FL in December 2008, and I brought her
back to Annapolis in June of 2009. She is fully equipped
with the full range of RayMarine electronic nav equipment,
her engine room is immaculate and provides easy and well-lighted
access to the engine & generator, battery banks,
automatic oil-change system, a/c units and main engine & generator
cooling water seacocks & strainers. Her

| 1998 Valiant 42 ketch/cutter Callie Mae. This is the only Valiant 42 ketch to have been built. I have assisted the current owners on many passages, starting with Callie Mae’s maiden passage from Galveston, TX to Destin, Florida in 1998. Later that same year I sailed with them from Destin to Grand Bahama Island, via St Petersburg, Key West and Havana. In 1999 we sailed across the Gulf of Mexico from Destin to Isla Mujeres in the Yucatan Peninsula and early the following year we sailed from Puerto Aventuras back to Destin. In the fall of 1999 we sailed from Destin to the British Virgin Islands, where her owner’s spent their winters sailing in the Caribbean. In early 2007 I joined them again for the passage back across the Gulf of Mexico from Isla Mujeres to Panama City. I am VERY familiar with Callie Mae’s outstanding sailing capabilities. She is comfortable, quiet, “easy to work” and her ketch rig configuration provides so many options for meeting any combination of wind and sea conditions. This is what Beth A. Leonard has to say about the suitability of ketches for long-distance passage-making in her book “The Voyager’s Handbook”. ”When we purchased 'Silk', we saw her ketch rig as a liability. We even considered converting her to a cutter. But within 5,000 ocean miles, we came to appreciate the virtues of a ketch rig. Downwind, a ketch can carry more sail area than a cutter. The mizzen can be flown without blanketing a headsail. They also offer the ultimate cruising benefit: less stress in a building breeze. Many small sails offer dozens of sail combinations to keep the boat moving without being over-canvassed. These sails are easy to handle, even for a shorthanded crew. When the wind goes over 25 knots, the boat is left with two small working sails that can be handled by one crew member.” Callie Mae’s equipment inventory is comprehensive and she has been continually maintained by her very knowledgeable owners.
